So, Thursday was round 4 of Spring Awakening for me! I know, 4 times in two weeks is a lot but honestly... how can you NOT go back?!

I watched them on Breakfast Television that morning so it was pretty cool seeing them again in person that night. Kimiko was on BT but she was out for that night's show. Julie Benko was in for her and I thought she did a very good job. Cute and wonderful voice. Very Thea-ee. Other than that, it was a full cast. I was sitting in row N at the Canon but really, there isn't a bad seat in the orchestra. It was also easier to scoot to the stage door quickly after the show.

So, I had gone on the Tuesday and Thursday was better than the first time that week.

Everyone was awesome, like usual. It was an especially good crowd so I think the cast were sort of feeding of our energy so it was good.

So, stage door.

I brought one of my Guilty Ones posters for them to sign and I got almost everyone! I have to bring it next time to finish it off. The highlight of the stage door (besides seeing Matt Doyle) was this:

Andy is talking to 3 girls. He is telling them about this awesome show called Dog Sees God playing in Toronto right now (http://www.dogseesgod.ca/).

Andy: Well, if you like our show than you will love Dog Sees God. Are you from around here?
Girl 2: No, we're from Ottawa.
Andy: Oh, well, while you're here you shoudl see it! It's great.

He signs their programs. He looks at one of the girls.

Andy: Wait, this is Ottawa, right?

End of hysterical moment.

So basically he didn't know where he was. I can forgive him though. It is hard being on tour and being in another country doesn't help either. Oh Andy, you are wonderful

3 Times in a Week?! You are a psycho.

Indeed. I am. 

I went to Spring Awakening for the third time last night and once again. It was amazing. I had a full cast and I was so happy! First time with the full cast. :)

Matt Doyle was brilliant, duh. Apparently Christy (Altomare) hurt her ankle at some point during the show so I felt bad at the stage door and didn't ask her for a picture. She was deffs in pain. Andy was back from his reunion thingy so it was great to see him as Hanschen again! He was super nice at the stage door and he answered the questions that I meant to ask the last time that I forgot. Now, I forgot to ask him the questions I wanted to ask him this time! Haha. Oh well.

What else....?

My sister nearly had a giant poop when she found out Matt Doyle plays Jonathan (aka Eric's boyfriend) in Gossip Girl. It was fuuny. She loves him. Sadly, she won't get to see him in the show! 

Anyway, it was an all boys night at the stage door and I have pictures with them boys!! They are great.

Spring Awakening: Round 2!

So, I went to Spring Awakening for the second time last night and holy .... POOP! It was amazing. It was my first time seeing Matt Doyle as Melchior and let me tell you, he is amazing! I was in TEARS during "Those You've Known"! So, I was sitting in the front row and compared to the on-stage seating, it is a completly different experience. On-stage, you see their backs a lot and you can't hear them very well since the band is right there beside you. But, from the audience, you see everything! 

I think it was an especially good show. I think since the reviews came out, they kicked it up a notch to show Richard Ozounian that they are better than he thinks. 

I was talking to Christy about the review that Richard gave her and she was like "It was my first bad review in 8 months!" but I was just like, screw Richard Ozounian! I think you a great! So yeah. He can be a douche sometimes.

Anyway, Chase was in for Andy (sadly) and Lucas was in for Anthony (apparently he is sick). SO, it was cool to other people playing the roles.

A Few Words...

I only have a few words to say but, Andy Mientus is the cutest thing! He is playing Hanschen in the first national tour of Spring Awakening and my goodness, he is great! I is probably just as good and comical as Jonathan B. Wright was on Braodway. To see and understand what I mean, go see Spring Awakening in Toronto (if you are near). It is a great show and if you sat where I did in the on-stage seating, he sits right beside you!! Enjoy!

Spring Awakening

I saw Spring Awakening last night in Toronto and OH MY GOD!!! It was AMAZING! Everything was perfect and it was everything I thought it would be. I have been waiting 2 long years to see SA and it FINALLY came and I was blown away. It is so different live than on YouTube or reading it on paper. Anyway, I was sitting on-stage and it is so different. Yeah, you are watching their backs a lot but you get a completely different perspective of the show. First of all, the actors come and sit right beside you and stay in character the whole time! It is amazing! And then, there are 2 camouflaged actors who look like regular patrons but they actually pull out microphones and sing and stuff. In "Totally F***ed", they get up and start climbing on the set and it is remarkable. I loved it so much!

I will be going back so there will be more blog entries to come!
